I first became interested in music at the age of 7, mostly influenced from listening to my older sister’s rock and roll 45’s. There was something about the harmonies from that era that I just really liked. At the age of 9, The Beatles music came to America and that hooked me. I got my first guitar that Christmas and began learning chords.
This was the same time that I met and became lifelong friends with Danny Campos. He also played guitar and we could actually jam together! We had another friend who played drums and found a bass player to form the band The Impalas. I was playing lead guitar then. Later, we became The Wanderers. It was after some personnel changes that we finally became Danny & The Twisters. This is when I began playing bass guitar.
We played for 22 years in the DuPage county area before finally calling it quits. I was out of music for about 8 years, and then joined a classic rock cover band called “Pearl Road”. After 5 years that broke up and we re- started Danny and The Twisters. It was after the untimely passing of Danny that we decided to keep it going as The Twisters, and we are still at it!
